Church Committee

The administrative body of the church, consisting of church officers, committee chairs, pastor, Christian education director and music director. The church committee oversees all activities of the officers, committees, organizations and staff of the church.

Documents:

Building Committee: Assigned to work with the architects and builders to repair and restore the church building. Capital Campaign Committee: Charged with administering the finances of the projects and coordinating fundraising efforts associated with the restoration project of the church building. Christian Education Committee: Provides staff and resources for all Christian Education programs including oversight of all youth programs. Organize and be responsible for a Fellowship Committee. Diaconate: Oversees the spiritual interests of the church, including worship services, communion and visitation of church members.
Fellowship Committee: Promotes hospitality and social activity of the church by coordinating events that encourage fellowship, including a social period after church each Sunday. Finance Committee: Oversees the finances of the church. Missions Committee: Promotes and educates the congregation in giving & missions, develops service projects & activities with various organizations. Music Committee: A subcommittee of the Diaconate responsible for the music programs of the church.
Nominating Committee: Nominates members to be elected (at annual meeting) to fill vacancies on committees and church offices. Parish-Staff Relations Committee: Maintains the relationship between the members of the congregation and the professional staff. Property Committee: Responsible for the church grounds, buildings, equipment and furnishings.
Stewardship Committee: Responsible for encouraging stewardship and service among the congregation.
