The 2010 offering envelopes have arrived

They are set up in Mason Hall. Please pick up your families’ box after service. Also, pledge cards for the coming year can be found in Mason Hall. Please fill out a card for your planned giving for the coming year. Thank you.

2010 Church Directory

The new church directory will be ready February 14th. You can pick up a copy in Mason Hall on Sunday morning or in the church office. As with any document of this type, there will be omissions and changes. If there is anything you see missing or that needs to be changed for the next printing, please send the information to the church office (office@vccucc.org) or place a note in the church administrator’s mailbox. Thank you! 

New Members

The Village Church will be receiving new members on Sunday March 7 during the morning worship. If you would like to become a member of the church please speak to the pastor or a deacon.

Contact newsletter

A reminder that this Thursday, February 25th, is the deadline to submit articles for the March issue of “The Contact.” Anyone is welcome to submit an article, please email them to the church office at office@vccucc.org. Thank you!

Birthday bash

The Annual Birthday Bash will be held next Sunday, February 28th from 5pm-7pm. Both children and adults alike always enjoy this event. There is a yellow pad in Mason Hall to sign up for contributions for the potluck supper & also cake/cupcake makers as well as number of attendees from your family. We have a few surprises in store, one of which will be "name that baby", a game of matching a baby picture to the person you have grown up to be! Start looking for your baby picture now and plan to join us as we celebrate all of our birthdays together! Speak to JoAnne Guyette if you have any questions.

Book Discussion

The next VCC book discussion will be held on March 21st, shortly after worship. We will be discussing the book The Year of Living Biblically by A. J. Jacobs. All are welcome to join in. If you are interested please sign the yellow pad in Mason Hall & read the book prior to attending. We'd love to have you join us Please contact JoAnne Guyette with any questions.

The Naming Wall will be updated soon. For those of you have placed an order since its last edit, your wording will appear on the wall shortly. If you would like to reserve a spot on the naming wall, please fill out and return an order form to the church office as soon as possible. Remember, ordering a space on the naming wall is a great way to honor or remember a loved one.

Bells Are Ringing Again

 The Village Bell Ringers have begun rehearsal again, still on Tuesday evenings at 6:45 pm. The ringers are energized and inspired by all the classes and performances they participated in at the AGEHR Handbell Conference in Orono, Maine from June 25-28th. Many plans are in the making for this coming year....stay tuned for more information. Also, check the church web site for updates on bell performances and some new photos. Anyone wishing to check out the bell choir, thinking of trying it out or joining, should talk to Harriet Forman.

Coffe Hour

Please look out for sign up sheets in Mason Hall and volunteer for another date this month. Thank You! 

Chancel Flowers

If you would like to purchase Chancel flowers for any particular Sunday please contact Marion Bosma.

Clothing needed!

Clothing needed! Please clean out your closets and give to the Outreach Clothing Drive in time for winter. Donations go to local and global families in need. Donations can be dropped off in Mason Hall.
